DESCRIPTION
Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey are on their way to the hotel where Shrek and Fiona will spend their honeymoon when they encounter Lord Farquaad's ghost! Farquaad sends his henchman, Thelonious, to bring Princess Fiona to him where he will force her to become the queen of the ghostly world. Shrek vive una vida perfecta con Fiona y sus tres hijos sin embargo nadie le teme como antes y añora tanto espantar a los aldeanos como él solía hacerlo. Shrek y Fiona van a Muy Muy Lejano a celebrar el primer cumpleaños de sus hijos. Ahí se encuentra con el afable negociador Rumpelstiltskin, (quien quiere acabar con Shrek porque debido a que él había rescatado a Fiona del castillo no consiguió quedarse con el reino de Muy muy lejano, pues tiempo atrás sus padres negociaron cederle el reino entero a cambio de que él rompiera el hechizo de Fiona) que lo convence a volver por un día a sus viejos tiempos a cambio de un día de su vida con la promesa de que al terminar lo regresará al mismo instante sin que nadie se haya enterado de su ausencia. El problema es que el día escogido por Rumpelstiltskin es el día en que Shrek nació y por lo tanto crea un nuevo mundo donde Shrek no existe ni existió. Shrek al firmar el contrato es enviado a una realidad con una retorcida versión alterna de Muy Muy Lejano, donde los ogros han sido perseguidos hasta su casi total captura. Inicialmente Shrek disfruta su día espantando a la gente pero al verlo todo descubre que lo ha engañado y es secuestrado por un ejército de brujas quienes lo llevan con Rumpelstiltskin que es su rey. En el camino es también llevado por Burro que no lo conoce y le tiene miedo.
