DESCRIPTION
The life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic athlete who joined the armed forces during the second world war. Only to be captured by the Japanese navy after a plane crash in the Pacific. During his capture, Louie must continue his fight by surviving through the war.

Nel 1942, durante una missione di recupero sull'Oceano Pacifico, il suo B-24 precipita rovinosamente, dimezzando il suo equipaggio. Sopravvissuto insieme a due commilitoni, Zamperini resiste in mare per quarantasette giorni, cibandosi di pesce crudo e schivando i colpi delle mitragliatrici aeree giapponesi. Recuperato dalla marina nemica viene condotto in un campo di prigionia, dove diventa presto ostaggio del sadismo di Watanabe, un sergente perverso col vizio del bastone e dell'umiliazione. Dovranno passare ancora due lunghi anni prima che Zamperini riacquisti la libertà, tornando in Patria e dai suoi cari.[/color]
