DESCRIPTION
Dr. Alan Grant is now a happy man with the previous incidents of Jurassic Park now behind him. Grant is that happy that he announce in public, that nothing on Earth can persuade him back onto the islands. Maybe nothing, except Paul Kirby. Kirby and his wife, Amanda want a plane to fly them over Isla Sorna, with Dr. Grant as their guide. But not everything Kirby says is true. When the plane lands, Dr. Grant realizes that there is another reason why they are there, that he doesn't know of. Now, Dr. Grant is stuck on an island he has never been on before, with what was a plane journey now turned into a search party.

Sono passati circa 4 anni dalle vicende relative al disastro di San Diego. L'opinione pubblica è ormai a conoscenza dell'esistenza, in tempi moderni, di dinosauri ottenuti tramite clona su Isla Sorna, ma il fallimento delle precedenti spedizioni ha fatto sì che l'isola restasse protetta e isolata.
Il paleontologo Alan Grant (ancora molto amico ma non più fidanzato con Ellie Sattler, sposatasi con il marine Mark, da cui ha avuto il piccolo figlio Charlie) due sono comunque rimasti amici), scampato al disastro del Jurassic Park, continua a lavorare alla ricerca di fossili con l'aiuto di un giovane allievo, Billy Brennan, ma i fondi per le loro ricerche sono sempre più scarsi.
