DESCRIPTION
A spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans, The Originals centers on the Mikaelson siblings, otherwise known as the world's original vampires: Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Now Klaus must take down his protégé, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who is now in charge of New Orleans, in order to re-take his city, as he originally built New Orleans. Klaus departed from the city after being chased down by his father Mikael, while it was being constructed and Marcel took charge. As Klaus has returned after many years, his ego has provoked him to become the king of the city. "Every King needs an heir" says Klaus, accepting the unborn child. The child is a first to be born to a hybrid (part vampire, part werewolf) and a werewolf (Hayley).

Dopo che la malvagia strega Dahia è stata finalmente sconfitta e uccisa, Hope, figlia di Klaus (Joseph Morgan) e Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) può finalmente rientrare in città fra le braccia dei suoi genitori. La madre però, tornata a vivere sotto le sembianze di lupo, non può godersi la gioia di riavere la propria piccola con sé ed è costretta, per motivi di sicurezza, ad allontanarsi nuovamente dalla sua famiglia. A controllare e a crescere la bambina per conto suo ci penseranno Elijah (Daniel Gillies), fratello di Klaus con cui è costretto a convivere nonostante il rapporto non proprio idilliaco tra i due, e Freya (Riley Voelkel), la loro sorella.
Nel frattempo l’altra sorella di Klaus, Rebekah (Claire Holt), ha abbandonato la città di New Orleans, al cui comando ora vi sono Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) e Davina (Danielle Campbell). Quest’ultima in particolare è arrivata a guidare tutte le congreghe delle streghe e ha giurato vendetta contro gli Originali, rei, secondo lei, di averla ingannata e di averle così fatto sottratto la possibilità di resuscitare il suo amato Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic). Non sarà lei però, una volta convertitasi totalmente alla magia nera, a costituire l’unica minaccia per la famiglia dei Mikaelson. A minare la loro pace e a metterli nuovamente in pericolo interverrà infatti anche un nuovo e misterioso nemico: il primissimo vampiro creato dagli Originali, che andrà alla ricerca del suo artefice per ucciderlo.
'The Originals' è un telefilm statunitense creato da Julie Plec. La serie è uno spin-off di ‘The Vampire Diaries’ e segue le vicende dell'ibrido Originale Klaus e della sua famiglia. Nel cast di questa stagione troviamo anche: Yusuf Gatewood (Vincent Griffith), Rebecca Breeds (Aurora de Martel), Oliver Ackland (Tristan de Martel) e Andrew Lees (Lucien Castle).
