DESCRIPTION
Marcus is a successful advertising executive who woos and beds women almost at will. After a company merger, he finds that his new boss, the ravishing Jacqueline, is treating him in exactly the same way. Completely traumatized by this, his work goes badly downhill. But then, Jacqueline's more quietly attractive assistant, Angela, who has been dating Marcus' best friend, shows herself more than a little concerned by his perilous state.
Hoichoi, the Bengali digital platform, started streaming their latest original film titled Boomerang last week. The story is a fun take on karma as in, ‘what goes around definitely comes around’.
Directed by debut director Sudipta Majumdar, Boomerang is about four characters – a filmmaker (Sujan Mukherjee), a salesman (Kanchan Mullick), a police inspector (Paran Bandopadhyay) and a journalist (Anindita Bose), and is a social satire which takes a dig at artists who blatantly copy others' work, remake films and pass them off as their own.
