DESCRIPTION

By a twist of fate, clumsy still good-hearted, aspiring actor Hrundi V. Bakshi, is invited to attend Fred "General" Clutterbuck's big party, after having utterly ruined the set of his latest feature film. What Mr. Clutterbuck doesn't know, is that Bakshi is present at his gathering, merrily mingling with the highly-esteemed guests he and his wife have wholeheartedly invited. The night is approaching and all of the guests have finally assembled in this magnificent villa, equipped with the latest innovations modern technology has to offer. In this cozy and friendly atmosphere, drinks are flowing, food is in abundance and everybody is having a great time with light conversations and in high spirits, enjoying the music from the band. But when Bakshi accidentally has his first-ever sip of alcohol and his real identity is finally revealed, only God knows how this well-thought party is going to end up...

TRAMA:

Janet è appena stata nominata Ministro del Governo ombra, il coronamento della sua carriera politica. Lei e suo marito Bill decidono quindi di festeggiare con gli amici più stretti. Gli ospiti arrivano nella loro casa di Londra, ma la festa volge inaspettatamente al peggio quando Bill all’improvviso fa due rivelazioni esplosive che sconvolgono sia Janet che i presenti. Amore, amicizia, convinzioni politiche e un intero stile di vita vengono messi in discussione. Sotto la superficie elegantemente liberal degli ospiti freme la rabbia. Lo scontro li spinge a sfoderare l'artiglieria pesante, anche in senso letterale.

STORYLINE:

To celebrate her long-awaited prestigious post as a Shadow Minister for Health and, hopefully, the stepping stone to party leadership, the newly-appointed British opposition politician, Janet, is throwing a party for friends at her London flat. Of course, in this select and intimate soirée, apart from Bill--Janet's self-denying academic husband--a motley crew of elite hand-picked guests have been invited: There's April, the sourly cynical American best friend; her unlikely German husband, Gottfried; there's also Jinny and Martha; and finally, Tom, the smooth banker in the impeccable suit. But inevitably, before dinner is served, the upbeat ambience will shatter to pieces, as festering secrets will start surfacing in this perfect domestic war-zone. Undoubtedly, after this night, things will never be the same again.
