DESCRIPTION
Hired gunman Cole Thornton turns down a job with Bart Jason as it would mean having to fight an old sheriff friend. Some months later he finds out the lawman is on the bottle and a top gunfighter is heading his way to help Jason. Along with young Mississippi, handy with a knife and now armed with a diabolical shotgun, Cole returns to help.

OPIS
Rewolwerowiec Cole Thornton (John Wayne) na zlecenie Barta Jasona (Edward Asner) udaje się do miasteczka El Dorado na granicy z Meksykiem. Jego zadaniem jest zmuszenie rodziny MacDonaldów do rezygnacji z farmy. Jason chce ją przejąć ze względu na znajdujące się tam źródła wody. Thornton, nie chcąc popełnić niesprawiedliwości, odmawia wykonania zlecenia. Jednak w wyniku nieszczęśliwego splotu zdarzeń zabija syna farmera i sam zostaje ranny. Wkrótce dowiaduje się, że Jason znalazł nowego wykonawcę zlecenia - Nelse’a McLeoda (Christopher George) oraz jego bandę. Postanawia temu zaradzić.
