DESCRIPTION
In Disney's beguiling animated romp, rebellious 16-year-old mermaid Ariel is fascinated with life on land. On one of her visits to the surface, which are forbidden by her controlling father, King Triton, she falls for a human prince. Determined to be with her new love, Ariel makes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Ursula to become human for three days. But when plans go awry for the star-crossed lovers, the king must make the ultimate sacrifice for his daughter.

Ariel, una principessa sirena sedicenne, non è soddisfatta della vita sotto il mare ed è curiosa del mondo umano. Con il suo migliore amico, il pesce Flounder, Ariel raccoglie artefatti umani e va verso la superficie del mare per visitare il gabbiano Scuttle, che le offre una conoscenza molto imprecisa della cultura umana. Lei ignora gli avvertimenti di suo padre, il Re Tritone, e il suo consigliere Sebastian sul fatto che il contatto tra mondo umano e mondo marino è proibito, desiderando di unirsi agli umani e diventare lei stessa una di loro, mentre la perfida Ursula, strega del mare e acerrima nemica di Tritone, tiene d'occhio la sirena, meditando un piano per poter prendere il controllo di Atlantica...
