DESCRIPTION
In 2525, as mankind has begun to colonise space, a group of cadets are training to fight against human insurrectionists. One of these cadets, Thomas Lasky, has doubts about his abilities as a soldier and his convictions for this war. Whilst he struggles with himself, the planet is invaded by an unknown alien race. Reeling under the assault, Lasky and his squad mates are rescued by John-117, one of the UNSC's legendary SPARTAN-II super-soldiers. John must inspire Lasky to fulfill his potential as a soldier and a leader to fight against an enemy deadlier than any that humanity has faced before.

О самом масштабном в этом году дальнем походе флагмана Северного флота - тяжелого атомного ракетного крейсера "Петр Великий" из базы в Североморске к берегам Приморья для участия в оперативно-стратегических учениях "Восток-2010". За два с половиной месяца похода моряки ТАРК "Петр Великий" оставили за кормой около 15 000 морских миль 4-х океанов. Они прошли проливы Ла-Манш, Гибралтар, Суэцкий Канал, Атлантику, Средиземное море, Аденский залив Индийского океана (где выполняли задачи обеспечения безопасного судоходства и борьбы с пиратством), Малаккский пролив, Тихий океан, совершили заход с дружественным визитом в сирийский порт Тартус. В Индийском океане североморцы выполняли совместные задачи с моряками флагмана ЧФ РК "Москва" в рамках подготовки к ОСУ "Восток-2010". Поход стал настоящей школой флотского мастерства, профессионализма и мужества для матросов, старшин и офицеров корабля, вертолетчиков авиагруппы, морских пехотинцев бригады Северного флота. Герои программы: Командующий СФ вице-адмирал Н. Максимов, командующий ТОФ адмирал К. Сиденко, командир ТАРК "Петр Великий" кап. 2 Ф. Меньков, командир авиаотряда ТАРК "Петр Великий" Владислав Трондин, офицеры и матросы крейсера.
