Tania Zimina is 39 jaar en van Russische afkomst. Zij en haar zoon Ivan (13 jaar) zijn acht jaar geleden
in België aangekomen. Hoewel ze zich goed hebben aangepast, hebben ze geen identiteitspapieren
en leven ze in de clandestiniteit. Tot ze gecontroleerd worden door de immigratiepolitie. Tania
wordt gearresteerd. Ivan kan er op het nippertje aan ontsnappen. Tania wordt in een gesloten
asielcentrum voor mensen zonder papieren opgesloten. Ze ontdekt in de hel van een gesloten

asielcentrum dat er zones zijn waar ze geen rechten heeft. En dan, op een dag willen “ze” haar het
land uitzetten … ver weg van haar zoon…

Tania, a young Russian woman who lives illegally in Belgium with her 13-year-old son Ivan. Constantly
on her guard, she dreads police checks until the day she is arrested. Mother and son are separated
and Tania is placed in a detention center. She will do anything to be reunited with her son but won't
manage to avoid threats of deportation.
