La vita di Marianne Golz, cantante lirica austriaca, ghigliottinata dai nazisti nel 1943 per aver salvato numerosi ebrei raccontata da Ronnie Golz.
Marianne Golz-Goldlust, cantante lirica austriaca, di rara bellezza, nella Praga occupata dai nazisti, salva numerose vite di ebrei. Arrestata dalla Gestapo come nemica del Reich, viene ghigliottinata il 18 maggio 1943. Il 9 giugno 1988 è insignita dal Museo di Yad Vashem di Gerusalemme del titolo di “Giusto tra le nazioni”. Invia numerose lettere durante la sua prigionia nel carcere praghese di Pancraz, alla sorella Rosi e a Richard Macha, suo ultimo grande amore. Dalle prime lettere inviate dalla prigione alla sorella Rosi emerge l'ottimismo di una donna che, celebre cantante e poi giornalista, fino a quel momento ha avuto tutto dalla vita. Sembra convinta di riuscire a salvarsi ma, mano a mano che i giorni passano, il tono delle lettere cambia. Poi, il 18 maggio 1943, bruscamente, tutto il suo universo crolla.
