DESCRIPTION
Mountain guard Pietro hides a terrible secret from the past. As an experienced climber, he witnessed the fateful fall of his wife while trying to climb a challenging wall. Since then, his life has never been the same again. He decided to retreat to the mountain village of San Candido, hoping to find himself and peace again. The villagers accept him as a "local authority" and see him as a police officer who often deals with strange cases. One day, however, a real police officer arrives in San Candido from Naples. Vincenzo and Pietro are like night and day, Vincenzo comes from a big city and doesn't like San Candido, but Pietro doesn't like the chilling rhythm of big cities and likes to live in the countryside. However, Vincenzo will soon fall in love of the country too, as veterinarian Silvia lives there, his new and unexpected love. This is a story that combines the western genre and the magic world. Detective and comedy, drama, love, friendship, mysteries from the past, and dealing with nature, animals and people - all of these are intertwined in fascinating stories

Il nome originariamente previsto per la serie televisiva era "L'uomo dei boschi", poi cambiato.
Le riprese esterne sono iniziate in Alta Val Pusteria sabato 12 giugno 2010, poi il set si ? trasferito a Roma per girare le interne, e tornare altre quattro settimane in Alto Adige nel mese di settembre e ottobre.
La serie contiene inserimenti di prodotti a scopi promozionali (pubblicit? indiretta) come specificato in sovraimpressione (Danone, Eni).
La serie televisiva ? stata finanziata e sponsorizzata dalla "Business Location S?dtirol" (BLS), una societ? della provincia di Bolzano, che prevede un suo ampio ritorno in termini turistici.[1]
Nonostante la serie sia incentrata nel comune di San Candido, il pi? delle scene sono state girate a Braies, nei pressi dell'omonimo lago, e altre alla stazione di Dobbiaco e attorno al suo lago.
Tutti i personaggi parlano in italiano senza accento tedesco, mentre in realt? l'85% della popolazione di San Candido ? di madrelingua tedesca.
Nel maggio 2011, subito dopo la fine della prima stagione della fiction, viene confermata la notizia che ne verr? prodotta una seconda stagione anche visti i buoni ascolti. Le riprese dovrebbero incominciare nella primavera 2012 con tutto il cast confermato
