DESCRIPTION
While running from a drug deal gone bad, Mike Ross, a brilliant young college-dropout, slips into a job interview with one of New York City's best legal closers, Harvey Specter. Tired of cookie-cutter law school grads, Harvey takes a gamble by hiring Mike on the spot after he recognizes his raw talent and photographic memory. Mike and Harvey are a winning team. Even though Mike is a genius, he still has a lot to learn about law. And while Harvey may seem like an emotionless, cold-blooded shark, Mike's sympathy and concern for their cases and clients will help remind Harvey why he went into law in the first place. Mike's other allies in the office include the firm's best paralegal Rachel and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna to help him serve justice. Proving to be an irrepressible duo and invaluable to the practice, Mike and Harvey must keep their secret from everyone including managing partner Jessica and Harvey's arch nemesis Louis, who seems intent on making Mike's life as difficult as possible.
Harvey Specter è uno dei più importanti avvocati di New York, cinico e spietato, con una passione per gli abiti sartoriali e la vita mondana. È socio Senior dello studio legale presso cui lavora, Pearson Hardman, ruolo che lo obbliga, suo malgrado, ad assumere un giovane associato: Harvey odia dover lavorare in coppia, e odia ancor di più i neolaureati appena usciti da Harvard (la Pearson Hardman accetta esclusivamente coloro che si sono laureati ad Harvard). Mike Ross è invece un giovane ragazzo estremamente intelligente, dotato di una prodigiosa memoria eidetica, che non si è mai laureato in legge, anche se ha sfruttato le sue capacità per sostenere esami al posto di altri studenti. Un incontro fortuito tra i due, con Mike che ha modo di mostrare tutta la sua competenza e inventiva in materia di legge, convince Harvey ad assumerlo nel suo studio, nascondendo a tutti il fatto che il ragazzo, in realtà, pur avendo superato l'esame di ammissione all'Albo (negli USA non esiste il valore legale del titolo di studio) non era in possesso dei requisiti minimi previsti dallo stato di New York per essere ammesso all'esame (28 crediti presso una Law School e 4 anni di lavoro presso uno studio legale); da parte sua, Mike coglie al volo questa seconda occasione capitatagli inaspettatamente tra le mani, incominciando a districarsi in un ambiente altamente competitivo e cercando di dimostrare di esserne all'altezza.
