Lo show ricalca l’omonima serie TV andata in onda negli Stati Uniti a partire dal 1985, scritta e diretta originariamente da Steven Spielberg che figura in questo reboot come produttore esecutivo.
Amazing Stories è una serie antologica composta da storie diverse tra loro, accomunate dall’elemento fantastico. Ogni episodio porta la firma di un autore diverso che accompagnerà lo spettatore nel proprio mondo, afferma Apple. Oltre a Spielberg, tra i produttori figurano Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Eddy Kitsis, Adam Horowitz, Chris Long, Don Kurt e David H. Goodman.
Del cast fanno parte Dylan O'Brien, Victoria Pedretti, Josh Holloway, Edward Burns, Austin Stowell, Kerry Bishé. Presente anche Robert Foster, l’attore scomparso nel 2019, che apparirà per l’ultima volta in una serie TV nell’episodio Dynoman and the Volt a lui dedicato.
