DESCRIPTION

Disgraced (and now released from prison) ex lawyer, uses his accumulated knowledge to earn a living from both sides of the law.

The Informer, il film diretto da Andrea Di Stefano, vede protagonista Pete (Joel Kinnaman), un ex militare addetto alle operazioni speciali, congedato con onore.

Costretto a usare violenza per difendere sua moglie (Ana de Armas), Pete viene arrestato e rinchiuso in prigione. Due agenti dell'FBI (Rosamund Pike e Clive Owen) gli però offrono la possibilità di una liberazione anticipata a condizione che diventi un loro informatore e che usci le sue abilità di ex militare per aiutarli a incastrare il più potente boiss della criminalità newyorkese, The General. Quando però l'operazione per permettere la liberazione di Pete provoca la morte di un agente di polizia sotto copertura, l'uomo si ritrova in mezzo al fuoco incrociato tra criminali e FBI.
