DESCRIPTION

Dublino, Irlanda. Il giovane Jimmy Rabbitte si è messo in testa di fondare un gruppo che suoni musica soul:
perché il soul è la musica dei neri e gli irlandesi sono i "neri" d'Europa.
Comincia a contattare una serie di giovani musicisti e, finalmente, mette insieme un complesso affiancato da tre coriste.
Dopo i primi successi però il gruppo comincia a litigare (complici gelosie e ripicche) finendo ben presto per sciogliersi.
Spaccato generazionale e musicale della gioventù irlandese, raccontata con humor e sfrontatezza (cosceneggiatore è lo scrittore Roddy Doyle dal cui romanzo è tratto il film).
Ottimi gli interpreti e altrettanto ottima la colonna sonora.
