О фильме:
В Йемене для брака нет возрастных ограничений, и по воле родителей десятилетняя Нуджум вынуждена выйти замуж за 30-летнего мужчину. Родителям больше не нужно ее содержать, а приданое, полученное за невесту, даст семье небольшой доход. Это законный и приемлемый для обоих сторон договор, устраивающий всех, кроме самой Нуджум, жизнь которой превращается в ночной кошмар.
