О фильме:

Юный оружейник Бэлиан вынужден бежать со своей родины. Он присоединяется к отряду крестоносцев, которым руководит его отец. В скором времени Бэлиан прославляется как отважный и опытный воитель. Красивый и честный юноша привлекает внимание сестры короля, Сибилы, но тем самым получает и смертельного врага — Гая де Лусиньяна, мужа Сибилы и предводителя ордена тамплиеров. Ослепленный завистью вместе со своими беспощадными рыцарями Гай нападает на мусульманский караван, охранять который, поставлен храбрый Бэлиан, и так провоцирует войну с огромной армией великого султана Саладина. Умирающий король вместе с преданным Бэлианом выводит полки в бой. Этой битвы они не могут выиграть, но это — только начало. Героя еще ждет множество битв, приключений и испытаний, пока с одуваемых ветрами пустыни крепостей до дворцов владык Франции распространится известие о великом Бэлиане из Ибелина — легендарного защитника Иерусалима, освободившего Святой город от тирании.
