Dopo molti anni passati col rimorso, la bella bionda May Munro ( Sharon Stone ) è decisa di vendicarsi per la morte dei genitori. Contatta Ray Quick ( Sylvester Stallone ), oramai un ex agente della CIA, per eseguire la sua vendetta. Inizialmente Ray rifiuta l'incarico, ma allo stesso tempo comincia a seguire, all’insaputa della ragazza, il caso. Egli scopre però di essere stato inizialmente aggirato da May: lui era solo una " pedina " di un circolo vizioso che riguardava la ragazza e il terribile Ned Trent ( James Woods ) , coordinatore...
