Conservative nerd Spence proves a perfect match when he meets carter in the big brother program. However when Charlie must mind him a while, boding proves impossible due to different interests, until Charlie awakes the womanizing beast in the knave, who just as soon tastes heartache. Charlie looses a date, already in his bedroom, trough the sleepless mayor's jealous ranting over the phone. Stuart's home-made ocean sounds tape, recommended as cure for insomnia, proves formidably flawed. Paul himself and, less, the mayor suffer trough their secrecy about a senator's offer to recruit Paul as press secretary.

DESCRIPTION
In this sitcom, Deputy Mayor Mike Flaherty (Fox) and his City Hall staff must stop the dim-witted Mayor (Bostwick) of New York City from embarrassing himself in front of the media and the voters. The staff consists of Caitlin Moore (Locklear) the Communications Director, Carter Haywood (Boatman) the head of Minority Affairs,Stuart Bondack (Ruck) the Chief of Staff, Paul Lassiter (Kind) the Press Secretary, James Hobert (Gaberman/Chaplin)the Mayor's Speech Writer, and Nikki Faber (Britton) accountant. In the final two seasons of the show, Mike is replaced by Charlie Crawford (Sheen).
