Weird Tales has arisen to heal mental traumas, to patch up injured minds. Pour the whole mess into the music while getting rid of it. Such a mistake. Thrilling riffs began to scratch the festering brain’s wound instead. Treacherous sonic mass has risen like a cancer while greedily absorbing the remnants of consciousness. Not everyone was able to bear it. Survivors will spread the disease further.
WEIRD TALES debut record is the raw demonstration of a horrible picture.
The picture which is terrifying for it’s crude and naked truth, candid themes that just had to be said.
It's definitely a gnostic experience. Revelation of human existence.
Three stories on the album tells you about The Fall of Man and Danse Macabre, Magic Theatre and False Gods, about the times when the Wormwood will fall.
Personal and global insanity is a cross-cutting theme of the album. Insanity which leads to imminent end of humanity.
Literal end of the world which starts in one brain and then spreads all over mind and body, where breaks through and sets the world on fire.
Then it burns. On a long way of fire, before everything will turn into ashes. It burns.
