DESCRIPTION

One Night in Miami, film diretto da Regina King, è un racconto fittizio che ha inizio nella notte del 25 febbraio 1964, dopo la conclusione dell'incontro di box tra Cassius Clay (Eli Goree) e Sonny Liston, che ha decretato il primo pugile campione mondiale dei pesi massimi. Nonostante la vittoria, che tutti festeggiano, il giovane Clay si vede costretto a lasciare il prima possibile l'isola, a causa delle leggi Jim Crow, atte a mantenere la segregazione razziale.
Il pugile si ritrova nel quartiere Overtown della città, centro della comunità afroamericana di Miami, nell'Hampton House Motel insieme ad alcuni suoi amici: Malcom X (Kingsley Ben-Adir), Sam Cooke (Leslie Odom Jr.) e Jim Brown (Aldis Hodge).
