The software has been designed as general software for surveillance cross platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired IP cameras, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same appearance and functionality on the local and distant pcs. Users watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete management of the program using network that surveillance station can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular configuration significantly improves reliability because all components work as independent applications. If one module stops working, other modules keep on working. For example if the `record` unit stops working, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` unit. The program does `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be initiated by movement, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on remote computer via Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from many cameras concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
