DESCRIPTION
The story begins one hot summers day when Leanne Wellings is taking her two young children to visit her grandfather. She stops to buy flowers at a motorway lay-by but then inexplicably vanishes -- leaving her two small children waiting for her in her car -- lost and far from home. Her two small children then set off to find her only to go missing themselves. Their ordeal is captured on CCTV cameras and before long the family's heart-stopping trauma is not only a complex police investigation but a major national news story.

Trama:
La serie thriller segue cinque giorni non consecutivi (i giorni 1, 3, 28, 33 e 79) relativi alla vicenda della misteriosa scomparsa di una giovane madre, Leanne Wellings (Christine Tremarco), nei sobborghi di Hertfordshire, fuori Londra. I suoi figli Rosie (Tyler Anthony) e Ethan (Lee Massey), rimasti da soli in auto, scompaiono anch’essi.
Mentre la polizia è in cerca di tracce, il marito della donna Matt (David Oyelowo) e la sua famiglia scoprono che nessuno è mai ciò che sembra. Cinque giorni, compreso il giorno in cui la donna scompare, risulteranno critici per la risoluzione del caso.
