Episode Plot:
It's the day of Kevin and Madison's wedding, all involved who have a different priority for the day. A common theme, however, for a few is remembrances back to their own wedding(s) and what those vows actually meant. For Kate, the thought of those vows relates to the current issue with Toby and work, he who has accepted a job requiring him to be in the office in San Francisco three days a week, which may result in Kate needing to quit the job she loves for them to make the move north. For Rebecca, the thoughts go not back to her first wedding to Jack, but the impromptu family wedding the two needed to have to show the Big Three, who were five at the time, that they still loved each other. Those thoughts are not only in relation to Rebecca's current health issues, but her relationship specifically with Randall, who has not opened up to her about his time in New Orleans and discoveries about his biological mother, Laurel. Each of Kevin and Madison are dealing with the stress of the day in a different way, but their less than traditional route to the altar remains the elephant in the room, especially in light of their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties.

DESCRIPTION
Rebecca Pearson once had a difficult pregnancy with triplets. The resulting births occurred on the same day as her husband Jack Pearson's thirty-sixth birthday. The lives of Rebecca, Jack and their three offspring - Kevin, Kate and Randall - are presented at different points in time. The Rebecca and Jack stories generally take place during the early stage of their marriage, surrounding the birth of the three children, or at different phases of the children's upbringing, which was not always smooth sailing for any of the five. Separate stories concerning Kevin, Kate and Randall are also presented in their adult years, each who has his or her own baggage resulting from that upbringing: Kevin who was generally the neglected one because he had no outward issues; Kate who has always had weight issues; and Randall, the gifted one, being the visible outsider and being the "non-K" child. These stories may demonstrate the emotional ties that exist not only because of being family, but also because of four of them having the same birthday and some of them having always been together, meaning since conception.
