Ondanks de tegenslag dat hun subsidie op het allerlaatste moment is ingetrokken vertrekken vijf getalenteerde dansers richting New York om daar deel te nemen aan The Battle Of Broadway, een belangrijke danswedstrijd. Bij gebrek aan geld moeten ze creatief zijn om hun verblijf te bekostigen, maar hun gedrevenheid overwint alle ontberingen die ze op hun weg tegen komen. Aangezien de vijf leden van verschillende danscrews zijn moeten ze samenzien te werken en een routine verzinnen die spraakmakend genoeg is om kans te maken de wedstrijd te winnen.
In Body Language worstelen de vijf jonge dansers met de problemen die ze mee hebben genomen uit Nederland, maar ook met de dingen waar ze in New York tegenaan lopen...
De diversiteit aan personages en dansstijlen maakt de film leuk om naar te kijken en hij past natuurlijk perfect in de nog steeds zeer populaire rage die veroorzaakt is door programma's als So You Thing You Can Dance. Dat programma heeft duidelijk bewezen dat Nederland vol zit met top-danstalent en vijf van die dansers laten hier zien wat ze kunnen. Dat is echt een genot om naar te kijken en je kunt je af en toe niet voorstellen wat sommige castmembers met hun lichaam kunnen presteren...
Storyline
An hour before the five best Dutch dance crews fly to a contest in New York, the subsidized trip is cancelled. Five dancers from totally different crews don't want to give up their free plane ticket and go anyway. In New York they realize what they've done. They have no money, no plan and no crew. But... They came to dance so there is only one thing to do. Together they form a new crew and do everything they can to enter the contest they came for. In the mean time... they have to survive two weeks in New York without any cash.
