DESCRIPTION

Housewife and mother Penny Chenery agrees to take over her ailing father's Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. Penny Chenery, tranquilla madre e casalinga, si trova improvvisamente catapultata nel mondo dei cavalli di razza quando riceve in eredità Meadows Stables, il ranch in Virginia che suo padre, gravemente malato, non può più dirigere. La donna ha una conoscenza alquanto limitata del mondo equestre, per questo decide di avvalersi dell'aiuto dell'esperto addestratore Lucien Laurin. Il sodalizio tra i due porterà Penny a primeggiare in un mondo dominato dagli uomini, arrivando addirittura a vincere l'ambito titolo della Triple Crown con Secretariat, il cavallo da corsa più noto di tutti i tempi.
