Synopis:
The Egyptian vampire lady Miriam subsists upon the blood of her lovers. In return the guys or girls don't age until Miriam has had enough of them. Unfortunately that's currently the case with John, so his life expectancy is less than 24 hours.

Miriam Blaylok (Deneuve) é uma vampira que consegue se manter viva e bela através dos séculos com o sangue dos seus amantes, Em retribuição os jovens e as moças que se envolvem com ela não envenlhecem, até Miriam ter tirado bastante sangue deles. Infelizmente seu atual parceiro, John (Bowie), está tendo um envelhecimento extremamente rápido e a expectiva de via é de apenas 24 horas. Desesperado, ele procura a ajuda da médica Sarah (Sarandon), que é especializada em envelhecimento prematuro. Inicialmente ele não crê na história de John, mas pede para esperá-la, Ao voltar, 2 horas depois, vê que ele envelheceu décadas naquele curto espaço de tempo. Ela pensa em tentar fazer alguma coisa, mas John deixa o local bem irritado e frustrado, pois sabe que para ele seu tempo acabou. Sem ter a menor noção do que está acontecendo, Sarah vai até a casa dele e acaba conhecendo Miriam. Após uma conversa e uns drinques, elas acabam indo para a cama e logo Sarah descobre que sua vida tomou um rumo totalmente inesperado
