DESCRIPTION
The shy, lonely and outcast teenager Andrew Detmer is bullied and has no friends at high-school and lives with his abusive and alcoholic father Richard Detmer and his terminally ill mother Karen. Andrew buys a camera to film his everyday life. His cousin Matt Garetty drives him to school and invites Andrew to go to a party at night. telekinetic abilities and Andrew becomes the most powerful. But he easily loses his temper and becomes dangerous while Matt tries to control him. When his mother needs a medicine and Andrew does not have enough money to buy it, his darker side overcomes and he becomes a menace.

Trama del film Chronicle:
Andrew, Matt e Steve sono adolescenti comuni, con cui tutti possono identificarsi; ognuno di loro ha una personalità ben distinta con cui affronta le normali difficoltà legate alla scuola, alle nuove amicizie, in una fase della vita in costante evoluzione. Sono imperfetti, goffi e un po' avventati. Sono come noi, e come molti di noi, sono ossessionati all'idea di raccontare la loro vita, sia gli eventi più ordinari, sia - come nel loro caso - quelli più straordinari. Perché Andrew, Matt e Steve s'imbattono in qualcosa che trascende la loro comprensione e quella di chiunque altro. I tre ragazzi, infatti, improvvisamente sviluppano incredibili capacità telecinetiche: per dirla nel linguaggio dei fumetti, sono dotati di superpoteri! I ragazzi diventano praticamente capaci di qualsiasi cosa. Possono muovere gli oggetti con la forza del pensiero e scaraventare in aria automobili solo con la volontà. Imparano persino a volare realizzando così il loro sogno più grande. Ad un certo punto però la faccenda si complica.
