DESCRIPTION
Stray explores what it means to live as a being without status or security, following three strays as they embark on inconspicuous journeys through Turkish society. Zeytin, fiercely independent, embarks on adventures through the city at night; Nazar, nurturing and protective, easily befriends the humans around her; while Kartal, a shy puppy living on the outskirts of a construction site, finds companions in the security guards who care for her. The strays' disparate lives intersect when they each form intimate bonds with a group of young Syrians with whom they share the streets.

О фильме: Три года назад благополучная пара средних лет Игорь и Полина Беловы пережили трагедию – потерю единственного сына. Шестилетний Ваня отпросился у родителей погулять перед ужином, но не вернулся. С тех пор Полина не находит себе покоя. Игорь, успешный врач в третьем поколении, уговаривает ее съездить в детский приют при монастыре и взять малыша. Безутешная мать даже смотреть не может на других детей, за исключением одного мальчика – «дикаря»-изгоя с туманным прошлым. Поддавшись просьбам жены, Игорь соглашается его забрать. Полина называет приемного сына Ваней и видит в нем черты своего пропавшего ребенка. С каждым днем сходство только усиливается, становясь сверхъестественным и даже пугающим. Одновременно в мальчике проступают и другие черты – уже не человеческие.
