This project is in cooperation with **UHA-WING**. Thanks to them for elaborating Chinese subtitles.
The source is of good quality, with a native resolution of 720p. However, two different interpolation algorithms were used during upscaling. Fortunately, the upscaling algorithms within a single episode are mostly the same, except the OP and ED in some episodes. Therefore we only need to spent some effort to segment the OP and ED when necessary. The main problems with the lines are "fluffy" aliasing and obvious haloing, both are caused by upscaling. The aliasing can be eliminated perfectly with descaling, so we applied two different algorithms respectively to descale the source back to 720p, then upscaled it back to 1080p using a high-quality interpolation algorithm. After that, slight de-banding was used in order to fix the few flat areas which come with color banding. Finally, strong de-haloing, regular compensatory sharpening and adaptive de-noising were applied.
