The origins of the "Dias De Blues" stem from another Uruguayan psychedelic band, "Opus Alfa", where since 1971 all of the original trio have played. The Opus Alfa quintet released an eponymous album in early 1972 to moderate success. It was especially disappointing that this happened after the sensational single "Casa De Huespedes" a year earlier. After parting with two members of the group, our heroes decided to change the name to "Dias De Blues" and on the same label in November 1972 began recording their new album. Abandoning psychedelia, the musicians tipped the scales more and more towards pure blues. Serious political and social problems in Uruguay led to the fact that in 1973, without finding its listener, Dias De Blues broke up. After the breakup of the group, the paths of the musicians diverged forever. Jorge Barral went to live in Spain, Daniel Bertolone went to Australia, and Jorge Graf moved to Germany, but their only album as part of the legendary Montevideo blues-rock band Dias De Blues continues to attract the attention of listeners around the world.
