Описание фильмаБезусловно этот фильм является одним из лучших, когда-либо созданных, в жанре экшн гением японского кино А. Куросавой. Ветер несет сухие листья по пустынным улицам захолустного городка, и на одной из этих улиц появляется одинокий странник - самурай по имени Санзюро. Он совсем не похож на смазливых героев конвейерных американских вестернов, которые с фатальной неизбежностью выбирают правильную сторону. Санзюро - откровенный наемник, готовый на все, лишенный чувства долга и морали. Не задумываясь он переходит на сторону тех, кто больше заплатит. Ну, а его противники, местные головорезы, настолько злобны, что становятся смешными, не пробуждая ни сочувствия, ни жалости. Гибель большинства из них в собственном кровавом аду неизбежна. Тосиро Мифуне, так же как и в "Семи самураях", блестяще сыграл главную роль и получил главный приз на фестивале в Венеции в 1961 году.
