DESCRIPTION
Finney Shaw is a shy but clever 13-year-old boy who is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of no use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer's previous victims. Vede protagonista il giovane Finney Shaw (Mason Thames), un timido ma intelligente ragazzo di 13 anni, che viene rapito da un sadico assassino (Ethan Hawke) che lo rinchiude in un seminterrato insonorizzato, dove le urla servono a poco.Quando un telefono disconnesso inizia a squillare sul muro, Finney scopre di poter sentire le voci delle precedenti vittime dell'assassino. Dall'altra parte della cornetta ci sono i bambini scomparsi nel 1978 nella cittadina del Colorado e sono decisi a fare in modo che ciò che è successo a loro non accada a Finney, aiutandolo a fuggire. Nel frattempo Gwen (Madeleine McGraw), la sorella del ragazzo, fa dei strani sogni che la inducono a credere che suo fratello sia in grave pericolo...
