La famiglia Addams, film diretto da Greg Tiernan e Conrad Vernon, vede come protagonista lo strano e grottesco nucleo familiare creato da Charles Addams e formato dai coniugi Gomez e Morticia, i figli Mercoledì e Pugsley, lo zio Fester, il maggiordomo Lurch, il cugino Itt, la nonna e...Mano. Siamo nel XXI secolo, la famiglia, da poco trasferitasi nella coloratissima New Jersey, deve fronteggiare una minaccia, l'infida conduttrice di reality televisivi di nome Margaux Needler, consumata dal desiderio dell'assoluta perfezione color pastello della vita suburbana.
Nella città Mercoledì inizia a frequentare una nuova scuola, dove stringerà amicizia con una sua coetanea e si ritroverà ad affrontare quel periodo ribelle che è l'adolescenza, manifestando comportamenti opposti a quelli a cui i suoi genitori erano abituati. Il film racconta anche di come Gomez e Morticia si siano conosciuti e innamorati.
Tutto ciò accade proprio mentre gli Addams si apprestano a ricevere il resto dei loro parenti per una riunione familiare che coinvolge l'intero clan.
