DESCRIPTION

When Tom Ballard moves to Bayview Retirement Vilage, he meets Diana Trent, a feisty old woman who complains about everything and wants nothing more than just to die. Much to the dislike of Harvey Baines, the head of the home, the two form a friendship and eventually a romance, helping each other out of tight situations. Tom's son, Geofrey, and daughter-in-law, Marion (whom Tom doesn't particularly like) are constantly stopping in and Jane, a worker at the home, is Diana's worst nightmare being constantly cheerful. Together, though, Tom and Diana make it together while they are waiting for God.

While there is certainly much of a sense of humour (much of it filled with
funny bits of sarcasm)here, I do wish to make a note that I find some of it
a bit unpleasant and unnecessary in our midst - I'm referring specifically
to the Season 3 Episode 4 titled "Harvey's fiancee" In this particular
episode for example, a woman of some most welcome Germanic beauty and spirit
too certainly - the best of what is British I believe, ultimately, is physically
assaulted with a pie in the face by certainly a witch of the woman playing
"Jane" who also calls her some horribly nasty names simply because she knows
that its competition she cannot keep up with due to her obviously grossly inferior
spirit and countenance among other things I suspect. No one should
ever want to see one of our best gals treated this way, even if its in some display
of sick humour I submit, as the wrong sensibilities become engaged
for some of those viewing such material I believe. Certainly something we
should want to see out of our world instead.

Enjoy the show otherwise, featuring a couple of Brits at the Bayview
retirement Home in what is the late stages of life - Diana for her part
she persists with her existence simply hoping to continue
being a nuisance to the community of what's left of its sanity

I do enjoy the show myself at times and I hope you will too as we just
cant get enough of British programming around the planet for my liking.
