Taper's Notes:

This was Snakes & Arrows show number 6 for me and was smack-dab in the

middle of the 5 show roadtrip I was doing leading upto my Bro's wedding.

The hotel I was staying at was amongst a nice new community of hotels and

stores and shopping centers, but the venue itself was way out in the sticks!

When I arrived to the venue there was a long line of cars waiting to get in,

I guess they were leaving the parking lot closed as long as possible to

avoid long term tailgating. Then once they let us in they took us WAY around

to the far reaches of the lot and it felt even more like out in the sticks!

Once inside the venue it was pretty much like most cookie-cutter sheds, not

the worst by far, but not the best either. I saw some fellow fans I have

known for years as well as a few from overseas that had traveled over for a

few shows and we chatted it up for awhile. I remember the one subject was the

soundcheck song I had heard being played since Tampa and wondering if this

show would be the one where it was played during the show (which it wasn't).

After arriving to my seat about 6 rows from the stage on Alex's side, I was

literally in awe of where I was, the huge PA was hanging right over my head,

it really seemed like I was right inside it with it's looming presence!

Needless to say, the sound was pretty incredible from that spot, the mix was

sweet and even Alex was present at this show ;) The Digital Man through Freewill

four-pack is about the most insane thing I have ever heard and the S&A stuff was

very killer as well. Being that close, the crowd can be heard throughout, more-so

when Alex or Geddy come over towards us, but overall they are not overbearing at

all and just add to the "being there" feel of it. The only downside to this night

was some PA issues they were having which cause a few short drop-outs in some 2nd

set songs as well as a couple longer ones most noticeably in Natural Science and

TSOR. You could see the people around me looking at each other wondering if the PA

above them was ready to implode or something, but there was nothing I could do

about it and for the most part the PA location for me paid off overwhelmingly so

I can't complain about it. Luckily for the 2008 show here I had almost the same

exact seat as this one and there were no PA issues that I recall so there's that

one to look forward to as well! :)

A very special thanks to my great friend SiriusJoe for mastering this and nailing

it to the wall again! I am merely a traveling mic stand and if it wasn't for his

hard work on this show it would just be sitting on a HDD or archive disc. I had a

little fun on the artwork with this one to go along with the title and I included an

alternate Disc 2 image that was just too humorous to leave out of the artwork package ;)

alter/remaster/matrix this release. A great deal of effort went into

capturing and producing this recording, and we would prefer it to
