Sinopsis by IMDB14-year-old Lucie is a resourceful teenager who takes care of her loving yet unreliable father, William, who has multiple sclerosis. Whilst William hangs out in his bathrobe and devises pranks and jokes to make his daughter smile, Lucie tries her best at school while juggling a job in a sandwich shop and all the chores at home. Her vividly imaginative mind and the novel she is writing are her only distractions. But when a social worker is appointed to visit them, Lucie and William elaborate a complex plan to make social services believe they live a perfectly normal life.

Normale, il film diretto da Olivier Babinet, ci racconta di Lucie (Justine Lacroix) una quindicenne rimasta sola con il padre dopo la morte della madre.
William (Benoît Poelvoorde), il papà di Lucie è affetto da sclerosi multipla e si comporta come un adolescente, è anche per questo che Lucie deve crescere prima dei suoi coetanei e diventare un’adulta responsabile che pensa a mandare avanti la famiglia.
La sua vita si divide tra la gestione della casa, la scuola e lavoretti vari che la aiutano a far quadrare i conti a fine mese. Una sua grande passione è la scrittura, è infatti così che sfoga la sua fertile immaginazione, scrivendo un creativo romanzo autobiografico.
Il precario equilibrio della vita di Lucie e William, un giorno viene minacciato dalla notizia che i servizi sociali hanno deciso di far loro una visita. I due decidono allora di dar fondo a tutta la loro inventiva e al loro impegno per ingannare l’assistente sociale, presentando la loro come una vita del tutto normale.
