##### **Notes:**
1. The 4K master for this movie is one of the most controversial/divisive of all 4K masters. While it's an admirable job, with a great HDR grade, the filtering is crap. This release uses the prior 1080p master, done in 2010 at the same time (and on the same BD) as the TV series. While it's not perfect, it's aged quite well all things considered.
2. While this was sourced from the USBD, the USBD is a remux of the 2010 Happinet JPBD. This movie has next to no other international BDs worthy of consideration.

##### **Notes:**
1. As this film was the first in anime history to be mixed in Dolby Stereo, I went to great lengths to track down the original mix. During this search I discovered that for some reason the final mix's tape got lost in the 80s, and the only existing elements were the optical sound elements (as used in theatrical prints) + ME tape. The optical sound was used on the EMOTION/KSS LDs, and is in very good condition for what it is. Yet, all releases following the LDs have used a magnetic element. The audio on these releases curiously cuts off at 44.1khz; I speculate that it was discovered that the Drama album was the movie mix and was used instead. Due to the differences in mastering (and some weird positioning differences) between the new magnetic source and the optical tracks, I chose to include both. Choose whichever one sounds best to your ears and on your setup.
2. The JPUHD is used as the source for the magnetic "Drama" mix. However, it has been downsampled to 44.1khz/16bit. This was not done for space reasons, but because the UHD's """96khz""" track was so [obviously fake it wasn't even funny](https://files.catbox.moe/rrwry2.png)
3. Thank you to [wowmd](https://nyaa.si/?f=0&c=0_0&q=%22wowmd%22) for providing the capture of the KSS LD's digital audio.
4. The Streamline dub is taken from Discotek's UHD, due to being lossless as opposed to 224kbps AC3 on the old BD. Nothing major to report.
5. The Manga UK dub was an Experience. This dub is the golden combination of pain, due to being mixed in the PAL video realm, with 25fps speedup on whatever splices and dices of the original audio were left, along with pretty much everything else in the mix being completely new. As a result, this dub was synced via painstakingly syncing the video tracks, so any sync deficiencies are problems with the source. The NLDVD uploaded by [anon](https://nyaa.si/view/1680310) was used as a source. I do not care enough about this dub to track down the 2001 French DVD, or even track down a VHS tape to have the HiFi ripped. (I don't even know anyone who can capture PAL VHS)

1. The subtitles are OCR'd from the UHD, with my "personal typesetting preferences" used. Changes to select names have been done to maintain consistency with the TV series (i.e "Crystal Boy" changed to "Crystal Bowie")
2. Japanese CC is from kitsunekko, and the style suggests it's sourced from Netflix. Nothing major to report.
