Journeys in Japan　北陸Ｐａｒｔ２　北前船が生んだ栄華と遺産 [BS] 2025年02月06日午前0:05 〜午前0:35 (30分) 江戸～明治にかけて北海道から日本海を経て大阪を結んだ北前船ゆかりの北陸を巡る旅。巨万の富を築いた石川県加賀市、国際港として新時代を切り開いた福井県敦賀市を巡る。加賀市橋立町には、かつて北前船の船主が多く暮らしていて、赤い屋根瓦が特徴的な歴史的町並みが残る。１回の航海で１億円もの利益を生んだといわれる北前船がもたらした富を、豪壮な建物や寺院、食文化などから感じる。また航海から帰ると船乗りたちが立ち寄ったという山中温泉も訪ねる。そして、北前船の寄港地から国際港に発展した福井県敦賀市では、ナチスの迫害から逃れるユダヤ人を救った外交官の物語を伝える活動に出会う。
