With the school strapped for cash Principal Skinner allows Jim Hope,president of Kids First Industries,to take it over. He is using the children as guinea pigs to test popular toys,in particular one called,at Lisa's suggestion,Funzo. However the Simpsons discover that Funzo's purpose is to destroy all other toys so they collect every Funzo model to prevent this,ending with a family celebration that combines 'A Christmas Carol' with 'It's a Wonderful Life'.
