Synopsis:
American Dragon: Jake Long is an animated television series that follows the adventures of Jake Long, a 13-year-old Chinese-American boy living in New York City who discovers he is the descendant of a family of magical dragons. As the first American Dragon, Jake must protect all the magical creatures living in the city while balancing the everyday struggles of being a teenager. Under the guidance of his wise 600-year-old grandfather, Lao Shi, and his talking Shar Pei dog Fu Dog, Jake learns to harness his dragon abilities to fight evil forces that threaten the magical underworld. The series combines action, comedy, and Asian mythology as Jake juggles school, friends, and his destiny as a protector of the magical realm.
