Plot

New York City writer Iris finds her comfortable, solitary life thrown into disarray after

her closest friend and mentor bequeaths her a Great Dane named Apollo. The huge dog

immediately creates practical problems for Iris, from furniture destruction to eviction

notices, as well as more existential ones. Yet as Iris finds herself unexpectedly bonding

with Apollo, she begins to come to terms with her past, and her own creative inner life.

Trama

Dopo l'improvvisa scomparsa del suo più caro amico e mentore, Iris, autrice e insegnante

di scrittura a New York, si ritrova a dover custodire sia l'eredità letteraria dell'uomo

sia il suo amatissimo alano, Apollo. Pur con molte esitazioni, Iris accoglie il gigantesco

cane nel suo minuscolo appartamento di Manhattan, instaurando con lui un legame

sorprendente e profondo, anche se la presenza imponente di Apollo finisce per stravolgere

i suoi impegni professionali e la sua quotidianità. Insieme, questa strana coppia comincia
