DESCRIPTION
Sons of Anarchy, aka SAMCRO, is a motorcycle club that operates both illegal and legal businesses in the small town of Charming. They combine gun-running and a garage, plus involvement in porn film. Clay, the president, likes it old school and violent; while Jax, his stepson and the club's VP, has thoughts about changing the way things are, based on his dead father's journal. Their conflict has effects on both the club and their personal relationships.

De Sons of Anarchy MC is een fictieve motorclub, losjes gebaseerd op de Hells Angels, met meerdere charters (of chapters)
in de Verenigde Staten en daarbuiten. Het Charming-charter is het eerst opgerichte charter van de Sons of Anarchy, en zij
hebben dan ook de bijnaam "Redwood Original". Een bijnaam voor de Sons is Sam Crow, gebaseerd op het acroniem SAMCRO
van Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original. De clubleden lijken een voorliefde te hebben voor gecustomiseerde
Harley-Davidson Dyna Glides.
John Teller (Jax' vader) en Piermont "Piney" Winston hebben SAMCRO in 1967 na hun terugkomst uit Vietnam opgericht.
Zes van de "First 9" clubleden waren veteranen. Na John's dood in 1993 is Clay getrouwd met John's weduwe Gemma. Jax
s nu de vicepresident van de club en dus de 'second in command'. Hij is recentelijk gescheiden van Wendy, de moeder van
zijn zoon Abel, die door het aanhoudende drugsgebruik van Wendy 10 weken te vroeg werd geboren. Jax' nieuwe partner is
zijn jeugdliefde Tara, die dokter is in het plaatselijke ziekenhuis.
