Dr. Curt Connors is examining organic matter from outer space. Peter is no longer welcome in the lab, but when Spiderman takes a peek he catches almost equally agile burglar Black Cat in the act. In fact he prevents her stealing the goo, but thinks she succeeded as in stealthily melted with his suit. He finds it increases his spider-strength. They team up and discover a jewel robbery in the making. Actually Dr. Curt Connors's place has been taken by Camelon, a master crook whose team was hired to steal the alien matter.

DESCRIPTION
Orphaned schoolboy Peter Parker lost even his uncle, leaving him with old, semi-helpless aunt May. Trough a messed-up experiment with spider DNA, he acquires super-powers. But he only uses them when masked in a flashy costume as Spider-man, a mysterious dashing hero who defeats all crooks. As Peter, his life is far humbler, moonlighting as photographer for the Bugle.

It's been a tough week for Peter Parker. His two best friends are mad at him,
Aunt May is behind on the bills, and Flash Thompson is still bullying him at
school. It hasn't been a cakewalk for Spider-Man either. The Enforcers are
trying to destroy him, the Vulture is seeking revenge on Mr. Osborn, Electro
is wreaking havoc on the city, and his mentor, Dr. Connors, just transformed
into The Lizard - a reptile on a rampage. But with great power comes great
responsibility, and Peter Parker wouldn't have it any other way.
