DESCRIPTION

Huge advancements in scientific technology have enabled a mogul to create an island full of living dinosaurs. John Hammond has invited four individuals, along with his two grandchildren, to join him at Jurassic Park. But will everything go according to plan? A park employee attempts to steal dinosaur embryos, critical security systems are shut down and it now becomes a race for survival with dinosaurs roaming freely over the island.

Trama:

Un ambizioso imprenditore miliardario costruisce in un'isoletta al largo del Costa Rica un grandioso parco di divertimenti a tema Jurassic Park ovvero Dinosauroland popolandolo di rettili preistorici di varie dimensioni e specie che sono stati clonati dal DNA di dinosauri estinti, ricavato da insetti preservati nell'ambra, che milioni di anni fa ne avevano succhiato il sangue. Inevitabilmente gli animali sfuggono al controllo umano con conseguenti disastri. La biotecnologia ha consentito a Michael Crichton, autore dell'omonimo romanzo (1990), e a Spielberg, che l'ha messo in immagini, la contaminazione di 3 generi: fantascienza, film d'avventure, film di spavento. Prevale la 3a componente: con effetti speciali di sbalorditivo livello tecnico-spettacolare, è una grossa macchina per far paura con messaggio incorporato (l'allarme contro la scienza e contro i rischi dell'ingegneria genetica). Il finale, come nel libro, lascia la porta aperta a un seguito: Il mondo perduto-Jurassic Park.
