Tutti sentimenti che condizionano la vita stessa di ognuno di noi...
Byousoku 5 Centimeters (5 Centimeters per Second: A Chain of Short Stories about their Distance) di Makoto Shinkai, è un anime dai sentimenti forti e caratterizzato da un animazione, in grado di mozzare il fiato allo spettatore. Vincitore del Lancia Platinum Grand Prize di quest'anno, come miglior anime, presso il Future Film Festival, assegnatogli "per la capacità di coniugare poesia, arte e perizia tecnica, disegno animato e nuove tecnologie, in una storia emozionante e profonda segnata da una regia di esemplare maestria; dove ogni elemento strutturale del film, dalla sceneggiatura fino al montaggio, ci comunica grande professionalità e forte ispirazione".
Tre episodi che raccontano tre momenti diversi della vita di Takaki Tohno, attraverso l'infanzia, l'adolescenza e l'età adulta. Sentimenti che sbocciano e si affievoliscono con il passare del tempo e l'aumentare della distanza, in un'opera che segna una nuova direzione intrapresa dal regista giapponese dopo i grandi successi di "Hoshi no Koe" e "Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho".
Il giovane Makoto Shinkai, ridefinisce i canoni dell'animazione, grazie alla particolare tecnica di utilizzare i disegni tradizionali, rivisti succesivamente in computer grafica, segno di come, anche in un tempo di narrazione ristretto (poco più di un ora), si possa ricreare una vera e propria "perla" che segna letteralmente il nuovo stato dell?arte in termini di tecnica.
Un vero e proprio colossal dell'animazione nipponica, dove ogni dettaglio è seguito e creato con una cura maniacale, dai fondali alla trama, dalla musica ai sentimenti, creando un perfetto connubio degno dei migliori film d'autore.
Un anime che trasuda sentimenti ed emozioni ad ogni sequenza, di quelle che travolgono lo spettatore in prima persona, mettendolo di fronte a squarci di vita vissuta e a quello che è il suo realismo: sublime, ma anche triste e malinconica al tempo stesso. Un Anime commovente sotto ogni aspetto, che stimola e allo stesso tempo "trascina" lo spettatore, quasi come se quegli squarci di vita gli appartenessero….
