DESCRIPTION

Dan and Gretchen, a couple with a secretive past and a failing relationship rent a guest house from an affluent couple in California's San Fernando Valley. Jealousy and betrayal turn a casual friendship into a game of manipulation and deception when Dan and Gretchen decide to teach their landlords about humility and the pain that hidden truths in a relationship can bring.

Syndrome). De lokale DJ Charlie Crowe komt in aanraking met het
mysterie wanneer een vreemde beller vertelt een angstaanjagende
ervaring te hebben gehad tijdens zijn radioshow. Tegelijkertijd
is Sophie Lancombe van het centrum voor ziektepreventie en
bestrijding de oorzaak van deze aandoening op het spoor. Haar
onderzoek verstrengelt met Charlie's ontdekkingen, en beide raken
ze verzeild in een duistere wereld van een decennialange

From the producer of THE DEVIL'S REJECTS and CAPOTE- Back in the
1970s several patients in an experimental sleep study reported
seeing shadowy intruders. These patients - and hundreds of others
died in their sleep soon after. Doctors called the phenomenon
'Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death Syndrome'. They refused to
discuss the shadows. Now a struggling late-night radio host
(Dallas Roberts of THE GREY and "Rubicon") and a skeptical CDC
investigator (Alison Eastwood) have begun researching a disturbing
new outbreak of shadow sightings and sleep fatalities. Could this
be a case of paranoid hallucination or are these victims literally
being scared to death by actual nightmare creatures?
