DESCRIPTION
A boy who is believed to bring bad luck to everyone around him leads his family and two new friends through Laos to find a new home. TRAMA
Ahlo è un bimbo di dieci anni del Laos che, secondo tutti, porta sfortuna ed è responsabile di molti disastri. Quando i suoi genitori perdono la casa e sono costretti a trasferirsi altrove, Ahlo incontra Kia, un'orfana di nove anni, e suo zio Purple, un ex soldato vestito di viola con un'insana passione per il vino di riso e James Brown. Cercando di conquistarsi la fiducia del padre, Ahlo guida la famiglia, Kia e Purple attraverso il paese devastato dalla guerra alla ricerca di una nuova abitazione. La cattiva sorte continua però a perseguitarlo e, per dimostrare di non essere maledetto, Ahlo tenta un'ultima carta: costruire un gigantesco razzo esplosivo per partecipare al Rocket Festival, il concorso più redditizio ma pericoloso dell'anno.
