Samuel is een zeer succesvolle advocaat van een jaar of 35. Hij woont in een heerlijk appartement in Parijs met uitzicht op de Eiffeltoren, samen met zijn prachtige vrouw Lauren en haar zoon Arthur.
Samuel leidt een luxe leventje en is uiterst zelfverzekerd. Je kunt aan hem zien dat hij eraan gewend is niets tekort te komen.
Maar hij is ook altijd merkbaar op zijn hoede. En hij liegt.

Maar dan wel van een heel andere soort: hij is een peperdure huurmoordenaar.
In die hoedanigheid heeft hij maar één opdrachtgever. Zij heet Natacha, ze geeft leiding aan de advocatenpraktijk waar Samuel zogenaamd werkt en - belangrijk detail - ze is zijn moeder...
